
Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is the national level aptitude test conducted by Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) for admission to its business management (BM), Personnel Management and Industrial Relations (PMIR) programmes and 15 months full-time residential GMP (General Management Program). After CAT, the XAT exam is one of the highly competitive exams for admission to management programmes in Xavier Institute of Management. The XAT exam is conducted every year by XLRI and thousands of candidates appear for the exam to pursue Management courses from some of the best reputed B-schools in the country.

A week before the exam, the admit card of the exam would be available on their official website : www.xatonline.net.in
How to Apply
The first step is to visit the official website of XAT and register by filling all the details.
After registration you will get your XAT ID and Password on your email that you have provided for registration. You will need to login in again with the XAT ID and password for verifying the registration.
Next, you will have to upload the latest photograph and signature. The format is specified in the official notification page of the XAT website.
You can pay the registration fees by Credit/debit card or net banking. You will be redirected to the XAT Registration Confirmation Page after successful payment of the fees.
Send the XAT Registration Confirmation Page to the XAT office through speed post or courier before the last date.
XAT Application Form
The application form for the XAT exam 2016 will be available in the 3rd week of August 2015, the last date to fill the application form will be in the month of November 2015, and all the candidates who are interested in the XAT 2016 can apply online through their official website.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the exam are as follows:
1. You should have bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
2. OR you should have completed your graduation by June 2016
3. Those of you who have scored less than 50% in graduation would also be eligible to appear for the exam, but you’ll have to submit your marks to the participating B-schools by June 2016.
4. Those that are appearing for the final year of graduation are also eligible for the XAT 2016; you too will have to submit your marks to the B-schools by June 2016.
Syllabus
The syllabus for XAT is:
1. Quantitative ability
2. English language and logical reasoning
3. Decision making
Exam Pattern
This exam will be conducted in written format:
Paper 1 will be the objective multiple choice question type, which would contain 3 sections— Quantitative ability, English language and logical reasoning, and Decision making with duration of 2 hours 20 minutes.
Paper 2 will comprise General awareness and essay writing sections. The duration of this session will be 40 minutes.
